Replacing the standard-height mirror with a full mirror to the ceiling gave this space an instant, dramatic appeal. A new light bar and sconces with glass shades replace the old "Hollywood" style lights, reducing glare. A softer ivory replaced stark white as the main neutral in the new marble floor, and an sage and cream ivy print added further subtle color to the walls, tying into the fresh sage on adjacent bedroom walls.
Playing against these warmer elements, the deep chocolaty tones of walnut cabinetry support a lively mix of berry, salmon, violet and plum in the new counter surface and tile borders.
Maughan Design provided color consultation, construction documents, and all products and remodeling services on this project.
