Kathie Maughan Francis, Principal, founded Maughan Design, Inc. in 1995. Specializing in creating spaces that are individually tailored to her clients' wishes, Kathie's favorite challenge is bringing out the best in a kitchen. Her work has been published locally & nationally. She believes that there are many ways to do a space "right", and the best results are achieved when design is a collaboration with those who will live there. After twelve years in business, Kathie enjoys building her company with quality people as much as she enjoys design and remodel.

Crystal Anderson, Lead Designer, has a BS in Housing Studies with an emphasis in kitchen and bath design from Oregon State.  Hired upon completing her internship with the company, she has been with Maughan Design since 2005. Crystal has a natural talent for the puzzle solving aspect of space planning, and she most enjoys creating beautiful spaces in traditional homes with elegant and classic appeal.  

Mary Lansing, Design Associate, earned her BS degree in Interior Design from Oregon State University in 2007 and joined the company upon graduation.  Mary has a wonderful eye for color and is adept at planning interior spaces, with excellent 3-D "Sketch up" skills.

Sharon Plankers, Bookkeeper, has our record keeping well in hand. And at 6'2" tall, she loves to offer to "sit" on people with past due bills! But we never let her.

Brieanna Graham, Administrative Assistant, recently graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Environmental Studies. While gaining hands-on experience in the Design & Remodel industry, she compiles and coordinates all the many facets of our projects with her natural ability to organize.
